After the stop we had to The Giant’s Causeway, our next destination was somewhere around 10 kilometers further, to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge.

This was also a very nice and pleasant afternoon walk, with an amazing view and scenery lying at out feet.

Carrick-A-Rede is actually the name of a small island, home to a single fisherman’s house, which is connected to the main land by a rope bridge.

Suspended almost 100 ft (30 m) above sea level, the rope bridge was first erected by salmon fishermen 350 years ago.

Crossing the bridge (if you are courageous enough) will re-compensate you with an amazing view.

If good weather, you can see as far as Scotland, Rathlin Island and the Causeway Coast.
